US Envoys Cancel Planned Visit to Israel for Iran Talks

Tel aviv: US envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner cancelled a planned visit to Israel on Tuesday, Israeli media reported. Channel 12 reported the news, without giving a reason for cancelling the trip. The two envoys were scheduled to arrive in Israel for talks with officials there on the ongoing war on Iran.

According to Anadolu Agency, there was no immediate Israeli or US confirmation of the report. The US and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran on Feb. 28, resulting in more than 1,200 casualties, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran conducted drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries that host US military assets.
