Saudi arabia: Saudi Arabia announced on Wednesday that its defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed a drone in the eastern part of the country.

According to Anadolu Agency, the announcement was made through a post by the country’s Defense Ministry, although the spokesperson did not provide further details about the incident.

This development occurs amidst heightened regional tensions following a joint attack by Israel and the US on Iran on February 28. The attack resulted in the death of over 1,200 people, including Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and left over 10,000 others injured, as reported by Iranian authorities.

In response, Tehran has launched retaliatory attacks involving drones and missiles targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that house US military assets, further escalating the situation in the region.
