Manama: The Bahrain Defense Force's General Command has announced the interception and destruction of 114 missiles and 190 drones originating from Iran, amidst ongoing regional hostilities described as 'the brutal aggression.'

According to Anadolu Agency, the announcement was made early Friday through a statement on Instagram, emphasizing that the use of ballistic missiles and drones against civilian infrastructure and private property is a 'flagrant violation' of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter. The statement further highlighted that such attacks are a direct threat to regional peace and security.

Authorities in Bahrain have advised the public to prioritize safety by avoiding damaged sites and suspicious objects. Citizens are also urged not to film military operations or debris impacts and to seek information only from official sources.

Regional tensions have intensified since Israel and the US launched a joint attack on Iran on February 28, resulting in significant casualties and injuries, as reported by Iranian authorities. In response, Iran has conducted retaliatory drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
