Tehran: Iran's Health Ministry reported that since the onset of hostilities, more than 18,000 individuals have been injured in attacks by 'aggressor enemies,' according to the latest official data released up to March 15.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry detailed that 18,254 of those injured have received medical treatment and have been discharged, while 1,070 individuals are still hospitalized. The medical efforts have included 735 surgical procedures conducted on those wounded.

The Health Ministry revealed that the conflict has claimed the lives of 204 individuals under the age of 18, among them 13 children aged under 5. Furthermore, 1,275 of the injured are minors, including 45 children younger than 2 years old.

The statistics also indicate that 226 women have lost their lives, and 3,002 women have been wounded as a result of the conflict. Hostilities have intensified since February 28, when Israel and the US initiated joint attacks on Iran, resulting in approximately 1,300 fatalities, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Iran has executed drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations that host US military assets. These actions have led to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
