London: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the UK on Tuesday for discussions with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles III.

According to Anadolu Agency, presidential spokesman Serhii Nykyforov informed Ukrainian media, including the state news agency Ukrinform, that Zelenskyy would first meet King Charles III at Buckingham Palace before heading to 10 Downing Street for talks with Starmer. Nykyforov also mentioned that Zelenskyy is scheduled to address members of the UK Parliament and meet with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

The UK Prime Minister's Office had earlier announced the meeting between Starmer and Zelenskyy, highlighting that the visit is expected to result in an 'enhanced security and defence industrial declaration.' The agreement aims to leverage Ukraine's expertise alongside the UK's industrial capabilities to manufacture and supply drones and other innovative technologies. Both nations are also exploring further opportunities for cooperation with third countries.

A notable aspect of the visit is the UK's commitment to fund a new AI Centre of Excellence within the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence. Supported by £500,000, this initiative will focus on maximizing AI's potential to provide a battlefield advantage.

Additionally, Starmer is expected to host NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at Downing Street during the visit. Discussions will center around securing a just and lasting peace for Ukraine, progress on the Coalition of the Willing in the event of a ceasefire, and the necessity of maintaining sanctions against Russia.
