Tel aviv: Air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv early Wednesday amid a fresh wave of attacks by Iran. The Israeli army reported that air defense systems were actively working to intercept the missiles, highlighting the heightened alert in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, sirens were heard across central Israel, particularly in the Tel Aviv area. An Anadolu correspondent in the region reported seeing at least one missile carrying multiple warheads in the skies over Tel Aviv, which was accompanied by loud explosions. This incident marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.

Further reports from Israel's Channel 12 indicated that a fragment from a multi-warhead missile struck an area in Holon, causing damage. However, the Magen David Adom emergency service stated that teams dispatched to the impact site initially found no injuries, providing some relief amid the tense situation.

The conflict has been intensifying since February, when Israel and the US launched a joint offensive on Iran, resulting in approximately 1,300 fatalities, including the then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has been conducting drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These attacks have led to casualties, damage to infrastructure, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
