Tel aviv: Three private aircraft were damaged at Ben Gurion Airport due to missile fragments from a recent barrage originating from Iran, as reported by Israeli media on Wednesday. One of the aircraft was completely destroyed, while two others sustained varying degrees of damage.

According to Anadolu Agency, the public broadcaster KAN released images that depicted the extensive damage inside the aircraft, emphasizing the impact of the missile fragments. The broadcaster confirmed that there were no injuries reported from the incident.

Further details from the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper indicated that one plane caught fire and was burned entirely. This incident is part of the broader regional conflict, as tensions have escalated between Israel, the United States, and Iran. Since February 28, a joint offensive by Israel and the US against Iran has resulted in approximately 1,300 casualties, including the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting not only Israel but also Jordan, Iraq, and other Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These strikes have caused casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation sectors.
