Kuwait city: Kuwait announced that seven overhead power transmission lines have become non-operational in various areas due to damage from falling shrapnel during air defense interception operations. This disruption has led to partial power outages in affected regions, as confirmed by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Ministry, through spokeswoman Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat, released a statement on the US social media platform X, detailing the situation. Efforts are currently being made to restore power swiftly. The Ministry assured that specialized technical teams would begin repairs once the sites are secured in collaboration with security authorities. These teams are tasked with assessing the damage and carrying out repairs while adhering to safety and security standards.
Jawhar Hayat emphasized the readiness of emergency teams to handle any issues impacting the electrical grid and ensure the continuity of service. She also advised citizens and residents to verify information through official channels, promising regular updates as the situation evolves.
