Dubai: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that a kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicle struck a hotel in Dubai as part of broader attacks targeting US military presence in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, the semi-official Tesnim News Agency released a statement detailing the 84th wave of the ‘True Promise-4’ operation. The statement revealed that in addition to the Dubai hotel incident, six US landing craft at the Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait were also targeted. It claimed that three of the vessels were sunk, while the remaining three sustained significant damage. The attack reportedly employed Qadir 380 missiles, boasting a range of 1,000 kilometers.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had previously commented on the situation, stating that US troops stationed in Gulf countries had vacated their bases and sought refuge in hotels, while urging these establishments not to provide accommodation to the soldiers. Iran’s retaliatory actions come in response to US and Israeli attacks on its territory, with waves of drone and missile strikes focusing on Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These actions have reportedly resulted in casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
