Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted 16 ballistic missiles and 42 drones launched from Iran on Sunday. The Defense Ministry detailed that since February 28, when the Iranian attacks began, a total of 414 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,914 drones have been intercepted by the UAE’s air defenses.

According to Anadolu Agency, the recent attacks have resulted in the deaths of two UAE soldiers, a Moroccan civilian contractor, and eight civilians from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Palestine, and India. Additionally, 178 individuals have sustained injuries due to the ongoing conflict.

The situation has been further exacerbated by continued airstrikes from the US and Israel on Iran, which have led to the deaths of over 1,340 individuals, including the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with other countries such as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations that host US military assets. These retaliatory strikes have caused casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
