Beirut: The Lebanese Health Ministry reported early Saturday that 32 people, including three paramedics, were injured and a hospital was damaged following Israeli airstrikes targeting southern Lebanon.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Health Ministry stated that the airstrike on the Al-Hosh area of Tyre resulted in 11 injuries, including three first responders from the Lebanese General Directorate of Civil Defense. The attack specifically targeted the Hosh area in the southern part of the city.

The ministry also noted that the two airstrikes caused damage to the Lebanese Italian Hospital, which remains operational despite the impact. Previously, the ministry reported 21 injuries from an Israeli airstrike on the town of Maarakeh and the Al-Housh area in southern Lebanon.

In a related incident, media reports indicated that the Israeli army conducted two airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut early Saturday, amidst ongoing fighter jet activity in the vicinity. Footage from the area showed considerable damage to buildings, with emergency teams actively assisting the injured.

Israel has continued its airstrikes on Lebanon and initiated a ground offensive in the south following a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2. Lebanese authorities have reported that more than 1,345 people have been killed and 4,000 wounded in the ongoing Israeli assault.
