Tehran: Iran's state media has made serious allegations against the United Arab Emirates, claiming that the UAE has entered the ongoing conflict against Iran. The accusations were reported by Iran's state-run broadcaster IRIB, which cited specific incidents as evidence of the UAE's involvement.

According to Anadolu Agency, IRIB shared on the US social media platform X that it possesses two documents that purportedly prove the UAE's participation in the war. One of the incidents mentioned is the destruction of a Chinese WingLoong-2 drone on April 1. The broadcaster asserted that this type of drone is "only in the possession of Saudi Arabia and the UAE." Additionally, the interception of an "Emirati Mirage 2000 fighter jet over Iran's Jask Island on March 22" was cited as further evidence of the UAE's engagement in the conflict.

These claims have not been independently verified by Anadolu, and there has been no immediate response from the UAE regarding the allegations. The situation adds to the already heightened regional tensions, which have been escalating since the United States and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on February 28. This offensive has resulted in the deaths of over 1,340 individuals, including Iran's then-Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

In response, Tehran has conducted drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as other countries in the region such as Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf states that host US military assets. The situation remains volatile as the international community watches closely.
