Turkish Stock Market Opens Lower with BIST 100 Index Down by 0.81%

Ankara: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100, opened lower on Friday at 14,526.47 points, marking a decrease of 0.81% or 118.23 points from the previous day's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the index had seen a rise of 0.32% on Thursday, closing at 14,644.70 points with a trading volume of 161 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $3.54 billion. As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT) on Friday, the exchange rates showed the US dollar trading at 45.5455 Turkish liras, the euro at 53.0880 Turkish liras, and the British pound at 60.9260 Turkish liras.

Additionally, the price of one ounce of gold was reported at $4,572.30, while Brent crude futures were trading at around $107.50 per barrel.
