Ankara: Trkiye has expressed strong condemnation towards an Israeli minister for exhibiting verbal and physical violence against participants of the Global Sumud Flotilla, which was intercepted by Israel in international waters.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that the interception of the flotilla by Israel was unlawful, as it was attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. The ministry accused the minister of being one of the principal figures in what it termed as a genocide carried out by Israel in Gaza, and criticized the Netanyahu government for its violent actions.
The statement from the ministry emphasized that Trkiye, along with other nations, is actively working to ensure the immediate and safe release of the detained Turkish nationals and other participants of the flotilla. It assured that efforts are ongoing with determination to achieve a swift resolution to the situation.
