Istanbul: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced plans to introduce new regulations aimed at enhancing Trkiye's global competitiveness and improving the investment environment. The announcement was made during the Financial Literacy Day program held in Istanbul. Erdogan emphasized the importance of financial awareness, stating that the country is focusing on integrating foreign capital through parliament-passed legislation.
According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan highlighted Trkiye's resilience to recent regional events, citing the country's robust economy, defense capabilities, diplomatic efforts, social unity, and management stability. He assured that Trkiye continues to act as a safe haven in the region and expressed the government's commitment to reinforcing this position in the future.
Erdogan also mentioned plans to commission legal, administrative, financial, and institutional regulations to bolster Trkiye's global standing and improve the financial and investment climate. He stressed the significance of financial literacy, praising the efforts of the National Education Ministry and the Capital Markets Board in reaching approximately 18 million students with financial literacy content.
He further emphasized the protection of investors and consumers using financial products against market risks as a top priority.
