Trump Weighs Iran Deal or Strikes, Decision Expected by Sunday

Washington: US President Donald Trump on Saturday informed Axios that he is '50-50' on whether to agree to a deal with Iran or resume military strikes. He stated that he would likely make a decision by Sunday about resuming the conflict.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump expressed it was a "solid 50/50" regarding his ability to secure a "good" deal or to take military action against Iran. He mentioned plans to meet with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner later on Saturday to discuss Iran's latest response. Vice President JD Vance is also expected to participate in the discussions.

Trump explained, "I think one of two things will happen: either I hit them harder than they have ever been hit, or we are going to sign a deal that is good." He also noted that opinions are divided, with some favoring a deal and others preferring to resume the conflict. Trump dismissed the notion that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was concerned about the ongoing negotiations.
