Beirut: The death toll for the Lebanese army increased to 30 following the death of a soldier, Mohammed Suleiman Al-Ahmad, who succumbed to injuries sustained in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon nearly three months ago. Al-Ahmad was targeted in the Qaqaait al-Jisr area of the Nabatieh district on March 17.

According to Anadolu Agency, official figures confirm that with Al-Ahmad’s death, the number of Lebanese soldiers killed since March has now reached 30. This announcement comes amid reports of increasing casualties resulting from ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

Figures released on Wednesday indicate that the total death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 3,696, with 11,413 individuals reported injured. Despite a fragile ceasefire that took effect on April 17 and was later extended by the United States until early July, Israeli attacks continue on a near-daily basis.
