Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Tuesday that Israel is prepared to strike Iran again "if needed," emphasizing his commitment to ensuring that Tehran "will not have nuclear weapons."

According to Anadolu Agency, Netanyahu's remarks were made during an interview with Israel's Channel 14, where he asserted that Israel had previously "saved ourselves from atomic bombs" in Iran. This statement comes in the wake of a newly implemented memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran, which was electronically signed by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and US President Donald Trump. The agreement, which took effect on June 18, was achieved through Pakistani mediation.

The memorandum lays out a framework aimed at resolving the long-standing conflict between Washington and Tehran. It encompasses several key areas, including the cessation of hostilities, sanctions relief, addressing the nuclear issue, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and establishing broader regional security arrangements. Despite this diplomatic progress, Israel remains vehemently opposed to any agreement with Tehran and maintains its stance on the potential for renewed military action.
