Ankara: The Turkish benchmark stock index closed Wednesday at 14,350.60 points, marking a 1.62% rise from the previous close. The BIST 100 index, which started the day at 14,110.46, climbed 228.77 points from Tuesday's close.
According to Anadolu Agency, the index's lowest point for the day was 14,031.72, while it reached a daily high of 14,395.02. Out of the listed indexes, 59 experienced gains, whereas 36 ended the day with losses.
The daily transaction volume hit 193.5 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $4.14 billion, with the overall value of the index standing at 14.2 trillion liras, or $304.96 billion. By 7.20 pm local time (1620GMT), the USD/TRY exchange rate was 46.6675, the euro/lira exchange rate was 53.1725, and the British pound was trading at 62.0380.
The price for an ounce of gold was $4,084.10, and Brent crude oil futures were priced at $71.30 per barrel.
