Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Tuesday attended two ministerial meetings held as part of the NATO summit in Ankara, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.

According to Anadolu Agency, Fidan participated in the NATO Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) foreign ministers meeting. This meeting was conducted under the framework of the summit and was announced by the ministry on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.

In a separate announcement, the ministry confirmed Fidan's attendance at the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting, which was also held at the level of foreign ministers during the summit.

These meetings form part of the 36th NATO Heads of State and Government Summit, hosted by Trkiye in the country's capital, Ankara. This summit is notable as it marks the second NATO summit hosted by Trkiye, following the 2004 Istanbul summit.

The Ankara Summit also serves as a venue for bilateral meetings between Trkiye and allied countries, focusing on political, security, and economic cooperation.
