Ankara: Norway will provide $306 million in financial support for Ukraine's air defense system, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store announced on Tuesday. Store made this statement while attending the 36th NATO Heads of State and Government Summit in Ankara, after holding discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Norwegian government decided on Tuesday to allocate these funds specifically to enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities. Store emphasized that while Ukraine is currently equipped to counter most drones and cruise missiles, it requires more robust defenses against ballistic missiles. He noted that bolstering protection against such threats is among Ukraine's most urgent needs, and Norway's financial contribution aims to address this critical requirement.
