Israeli Occupiers Injure Six Palestinians and Detain Ambulance Crews in Occupied West Bank

Hebron: Six Palestinians from the same family were injured on Friday when Israeli occupiers attacked them using beatings and pepper spray in the Huwara community in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank. The incident further escalates tensions in the region, highlighting the ongoing conflict and the impact on civilian lives.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams treated the six injured Palestinians, which included an elderly man, women, and children, before transferring them to a hospital. Osama Makhamreh, an anti-settlement activist, stated that the occupiers attacked the family of 80-year-old Ibrahim Ismail al-Jabour while they were on their land near their home. The Israeli army reportedly provided protection for the occupiers and subsequently arrested Qassem Ibrahim al-Jabour, Yasser Youssef al-Jabour, and Ibrahim Omar al-Jabour.

The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission revealed that occupiers conducted 3,488 attacks across the West Bank during the first half of this year, resulting in the death of 17 Palestinians. Since October 8, 2023, Israeli army and occupier attacks in the West Bank have resulted in the deaths of 1,179 Palestinians, injuries to 12,666 others, and the arrest of approximately 24,000 individuals.

In a separate incident, the Israeli army detained ambulance crews during a raid on Al-Mughayyir village in the central occupied West Bank. Amin Abu Alia, head of the village council, reported that clashes erupted after Israeli forces raided the village, leading to several Palestinians being shot and others beaten. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that its teams treated two individuals injured by shrapnel from a stun grenade and another who had been beaten. Both were transferred to a hospital for further treatment.

The Red Crescent also stated that its crews were detained for about two hours while treating wounded individuals inside a home in the village. The incident included the confiscation of ambulance keys by Israeli forces. This development is part of a series of escalating raids and military operations across the occupied West Bank as Israel continues its conflict in the Gaza Strip.

In another development, the Israeli army uprooted more than 300 trees and cut water lines supplying about 45,000 dunams of agricultural land in the northern Jordan Valley. The Palestinian Al-Bidar Human Rights Organization reported that the army's actions were part of efforts to open a military road and build a wall, threatening large areas of farmland. This action has caused extensive damage to farmers, water sources, and agricultural resources in the region. The commission also noted that occupiers uprooted and damaged 23,145 trees in the first half of the year, including 11,383 olive trees.
