Kuwait Reports Four Soldiers Injured in Iranian Strikes Amid US-Iran Tensions

Kuwait city: The Kuwaiti army announced on Tuesday that four soldiers sustained injuries following Iranian missile and drone attacks, as tensions between Iran and the US continue to rise. According to Anadolu Agency, the Kuwaiti army, through a statement by Defense Ministry spokesman Saud Abdulaziz Al Atwan, revealed that their forces detected one ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 drones launched from Iran since Tuesday evening.

The army previously reported that its forces had engaged with "hostile aerial targets" within Kuwaiti airspace. It further clarified on the US social media platform X that any explosion sounds heard were due to air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks. Authorities urged the public to adhere to safety instructions.

The Defense Ministry also advised citizens and residents to steer clear of, and avoid touching or photographing, any debris from the strikes. Additionally, it requested that the public refrain from publishing or sharing photos or videos of affected areas or sites where shrapnel and interception debris landed on social media.

In a broader regional context, countries such as Jordan and Bahrain reported intercepting Iranian missiles and other aerial threats earlier on Tuesday, following Iran's attacks targeting US military facilities. These developments occur amid heightened tensions between Iran and the US, particularly concerning shipping activities in the Strait of Hormuz, despite efforts by Pakistan to mediate a memorandum of understanding to resolve the conflict and establish lasting peace.
