US Conducts 7th Consecutive Night of Strikes on Iran

Washington: US Central Command announced on Friday that American forces have executed a new series of strikes on Iran, marking the seventh consecutive night of such military actions. This ongoing operation is part of an effort to drain Iran's military capabilities under the direction of the US Commander in Chief.

According to Anadolu Agency, the US Central Command stated in a post on the US social media platform X that the latest round of strikes was launched at 3 p.m. ET. The operation aims to maintain pressure on Iranian military infrastructure and capabilities.

This recent escalation follows the United States' announcement on Tuesday regarding the resumption of a naval blockade on vessels traveling to or from Iranian ports and coastal areas. The naval blockade and continuous strikes underscore the heightened tensions between the US and Iran, particularly involving the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Despite a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding intended to de-escalate the situation and achieve a lasting peace agreement, both nations have continued to engage in retaliatory actions. The ongoing conflict highlights the challenges of diplomatic resolutions in the region.
