Brussels: Kuwait's armed forces announced that the country's air defense systems intercepted "hostile" drone threats, which led to explosions audible to residents. The Kuwaiti Army confirmed through a statement on US social media platform X that air defense units were actively engaging aerial targets deemed hostile. The public was urged to adhere to "safety and security instructions issued by the relevant authorities."

According to Anadolu Agency, the Saudi Civil Defense General Directorate also utilized platform X to communicate that its national early warning system had issued danger alerts for the Yanbu and Al-Kharj governorates. The directorate later confirmed that the threat had subsided in both regions, advising residents to continue observing civil defense guidelines, refrain from gathering or filming, and reach out to emergency services if required.

These events occur amid escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, where recent weeks have witnessed military exchanges between the US and Iran following the breakdown of a Pakistani-mediated ceasefire.
