Sanaa: British Prime Minister Andy Burnham on Monday held separate phone calls with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen hours after assuming office, reiterating his "resolute commitment" to Ukraine.

According to Anadolu Agency, during his phone conversation with Zelenskyy, Burnham reaffirmed the UK's "resolute commitment" to Ukraine and emphasized that there would be no change in the UK's stance, particularly in its approach towards Russia. Burnham expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the Ukrainians who lost their lives in recent Russian attacks.
