Ankara: Kuwait's air defense systems intercepted a new wave of missiles and drones from Iran on Tuesday, while neighboring Bahrain sounded air raid sirens for the second time this day as Iranian attacks continued to target regional countries.

According to Anadolu Agency, Kuwait's General Staff announced on the US social media platform X that the country's air defenses were actively responding to hostile missile and drone threats. They noted that any explosions heard were due to interception operations. Citizens were urged to adhere to safety and security instructions issued by the relevant authorities.

Meanwhile, Bahrain's Interior Ministry confirmed that air raid sirens had been activated. The ministry advised citizens and residents to remain calm, proceed to the nearest safe location, and follow information from official channels. The Bahrain Defense Force reported that air defenses had intercepted several Iranian aerial attacks by noon on Tuesday. Early reports indicated that several Iranian aerial projectiles targeting the kingdom had been intercepted and destroyed, with no casualties or material damage reported.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for striking central data infrastructure of US technology company Amazon in Bahrain with cruise missiles. Additionally, the Iranian army reported targeting the US-operated Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain with drones.

These latest attacks occurred despite a Pakistan-brokered memorandum of understanding signed in June, aimed at ending the conflict and establishing a lasting peace agreement between the US and Iran.
