Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday held a phone call with Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics to discuss bilateral ties, NATO cooperation, as well as regional and global developments. During the call, Erdogan emphasized Trkiye's commitment to the security of the Baltic region within NATO and mentioned the country's increased contributions in this area.
According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan expressed satisfaction with hosting Rinkevics in Trkiye during the recent NATO summit in Ankara. He conveyed hope that the decisions made at the gathering, where allies displayed solidarity, would yield positive results. The Turkish president also highlighted his intention to enhance cooperation between Trkiye and Latvia in various sectors, with a focus on the defense industry.
