Ankara: Trkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Sunday engaged in discussions regarding the negotiation process between Tehran and Washington with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as well as Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir. Fidan's discussions were conducted through separate calls with Al Thani and Munir.

According to Anadolu Agency, these talks are part of the ongoing mediation efforts by Pakistan and Qatar to secure a broader de-escalation between Washington and Tehran. A second consecutive night passed without any reported US or Iranian strikes after two weeks of sustained bombardment, highlighting the significance of these diplomatic engagements in maintaining the ceasefire.

Anadolu's tracking of developments confirmed that no explosions or US air raids were recorded across Iran overnight into Sunday. This follows a memorandum of understanding signed in June between Washington and Tehran, which included a ceasefire agreement facilitated by Qatari and Pakistani mediation, setting the stage for negotiations aimed at reaching a final resolution to the conflict.
