Ankara: Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) President Mehmet Akif Ustundag on Sunday expressed immense pride in Trkiye's women's national volleyball team for their victory over Brazil, securing a 3-1 win in the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League final.

According to Anadolu Agency, Ustundag highlighted the challenges faced by the team, noting that competing against 18 of the world's top teams across three stages to reach the finals is no small feat. "Our team delivered an incredible performance," Ustundag said, emphasizing the dedication and ambition of the players who aspire to bring honor to their nation.

Ustundag also expressed gratitude towards the minister who supported the team during the match, despite facing adverse weather conditions. He mentioned that the president was the first to call and congratulate each player individually after the match, underlining the significance of the achievement.

Hearing the Turkish national anthem during the championship ceremony was a moment of immense pride for Ustundag.
