Ankara: Trkiye has successfully delivered aid to 85 countries and communities worldwide through humanitarian assistance operations coordinated by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) under the Interior Ministry. These efforts are part of Trkiye's disaster diplomacy, showcasing its commitment to global aid and cooperation.

According to Anadolu Agency, one of the most significant humanitarian operations was directed toward Gaza, where 109,332 tons of aid were dispatched via 14 aircraft and 21 ships amidst Israeli attacks. This initiative included a donation of $7.5 million, with $7 million contributed by AFAD and an additional $500,000 by the Turkish Red Crescent.

AFAD's efforts in Afghanistan saw the dispatch of 11,739 tons of aid supplies through 25 Kindness Train trips and six cargo flights. Sudan benefited from 10,206 tons of aid and 30,000 tents delivered by six ships. Furthermore, Trkiye sent 9,079 tons of aid to Pakistan, 3,000 tons to Somalia, and 730 tons to Lebanon.

Bangladesh received 64,992 humanitarian aid packages, while Bosnia and Herzegovina were provided with 60 container homes and essential supplies. In Syria, 13,938 trucks loaded with aid have been dispatched to date. Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Burundi also received significant aid packages.

In response to two earthquakes in Venezuela, AFAD coordinated the delivery of 30 tons of humanitarian aid, including 275 tents and seven tons of medical supplies. Trkiye also assisted Spain following flooding by supplying 250 plastic waste containers and two road-cleaning vehicles, demonstrating its continued commitment to international humanitarian efforts.
