Tyumen: Russia's Tyumen region declared a state of emergency Tuesday as flooding intensified, local officials said. Gov. Aleksandr Moor announced on Telegram that the Tura River had risen to 877 centimeters (345.3 inches) by Tuesday morning, surpassing the danger level of 850 cm (334.6 inches).

According to Anadolu Agency, Tyumen had been on high alert since July 14. More than 140 homes in the city were at risk of flooding last week, as reported by regional authorities. The persistent rise in water levels has prompted officials to take urgent measures to mitigate the impact on affected communities.
