Ankara: The Israeli army has cut electricity to three Palestinian communities northeast of Ramallah after targeting the main power transformer in a raid on the occupied West Bank town of Turmus Ayya, local sources reported on Wednesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, Israeli troops stormed the town, patrolling several neighborhoods and firing live ammunition and tear gas before targeting the main transformer. This action resulted in a power outage affecting Turmus Ayya and the neighboring villages of Abu Falah and Al-Mughayyir. Maintenance crews have been dispatched to restore power to these communities.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces conducted a raid on the village of Burin, south of Nablus, which led to clashes, local sources indicated. The troops fired tear gas and stun grenades as military vehicles entered the village. Additionally, Israeli occupiers attempted to attack a concrete factory on Burin's western outskirts during the army raid, subsequently advancing into the village's eastern area.

Since October 2023, official Palestinian figures have documented that Israeli forces and occupiers have killed at least 1,182 Palestinians in the West Bank, injured thousands, and detained approximately 24,000 individuals.
