Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, concluded Thursday's trading session at 13,292.93 points, marking a decline of 1.55% from the previous day.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index began the day at 14,150.52 points, experiencing a loss of 208.62 points compared to Wednesday's close. Throughout the session, the index recorded a low of 13,223.69 points and a high of 13,489.13 points. The market capitalization of the BIST 100 stood at approximately 12.86 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $271.9 billion, with a trading volume reaching 162 billion liras, or $3.42 billion.

The day's trading saw 36 stocks on the index rise, while 63 experienced declines compared to the previous close. In related markets, gold was priced at $4,096.10 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were trading at $89.75 as of 1530GMT. On the currency front, the US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 47.4150, the euro/Turkish lira at 54.7280, and the British pound was trading at 63.8780.
