Nabatieh al-fawqa: Two people were injured in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon on Saturday, as reported by the state-run National News Agency (NNA). The strike occurred in the Al-Aqida neighborhood of the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, where an Israeli drone fired a 'guided missile' in the afternoon.

According to Anadolu Agency, the drone strike comes amidst ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon, which have resulted in 4,333 fatalities and 12,236 injuries since March 2, as per Lebanon's Health Ministry. These hostilities persist despite a US-sponsored 'framework formula' agreement signed on June 26 between Beirut and Tel Aviv.

The agreement outlines a phased Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories, contingent on the deployment of the Lebanese army in these regions and the disarmament of armed groups, notably Hezbollah. Despite these diplomatic efforts, the violence continues to escalate, underscoring the fragility of the ceasefire agreement and the ongoing tensions in the region.
