Saratov: Two people were killed when a Ukrainian drone struck a residential building in Russia's Saratov region during one of the largest overnight aerial attacks of the year, Russian authorities said Sunday. Regional Governor Roman Busargin shared on the Russian social media platform Max that the drone impacted a high-rise residential building, resulting in two fatalities.

According to Anadolu Agency, in the Samara region, Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported that Ukrainian drones targeted a warehouse belonging to Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer. The company's press service confirmed the attack led to a fire, although preliminary information suggested there were no casualties.

Separately, Ukraine's General Staff announced on Telegram that its forces also targeted the Ufa oil refinery operated by Bashneft. Radiy Khabirov, the governor of Russia's Bashkortostan region, stated that air defenses had successfully repelled a large-scale drone attack aimed at industrial facilities in the area. Khabirov noted that 25 drones were intercepted, and a fire occurred in an industrial zone in Ufa after debris from a downed drone fell in the vicinity. There were no reported casualties.

Ukraine's military further claimed it had attacked an oil depot in Russia's Kaluga region and a drone launch site in the Bryansk region. Russian authorities have not yet commented on these allegations.

Russia's Defense Ministry reported that its forces conducted overnight strikes using air-launched precision weapons and attack drones against military-related targets in Ukraine. The ministry claimed the strikes hit fuel storage facilities supplying the Ukrainian military at the port of Odesa, a tugboat in Mykolaiv allegedly converted for sea drone use, and a cargo ship in the Black Sea about 8 kilometers east of Zatoka, purportedly transporting military cargo.

The ministry also stated that Russian air defenses destroyed 635 Ukrainian drones overnight, characterizing the assault as one of the largest drone attacks since the year's start. Independent verification of these claims remains challenging due to the ongoing conflict.
