Brussels: The Eurozone composite Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) climbed to 52 in July, marking its highest level in eight months. This increase from June's figure of 50 suggests an expansion in the economic activity within the Eurozone.
According to Anadolu Agency, S and P Global released the Eurozone PMI data for July, revealing that the Eurozone composite PMI rose to 52, up from 50 in June. This growth exceeded market expectations, which had pointed to a composite PMI of 51.9 for July.
The Eurozone services PMI also experienced growth, climbing to 51.7 in July from 49.4 in June, marking its highest level in five months. Market expectations had predicted a services PMI of 51.6 for July.
The latest figures indicate an increase in production and new orders in the Eurozone, as inflationary pressures appeared to ease. PMI values at 50 and above signify expansion in the sector, while values below 50 indicate contraction.
