(aa): A Lebanese man died Tuesday from wounds sustained when an Israeli drone struck his vehicle in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon's state news agency.

According to Anadolu Agency, the National News Agency reported that the man, identified as Ali Sabah, succumbed to his injuries in a hospital after an Israeli drone targeted his vehicle in the Nabatieh district. Earlier the same day, Lebanon's Health Ministry indicated that two individuals were wounded in the drone strike in Nabatieh.

The ministry highlighted that the attack unfolded in two waves, with the second strike hitting a medical response team that had arrived to assist the injured man, resulting in damage to an ambulance. Despite ongoing negotiations, Israeli aggression in Lebanon, which began on March 2, has resulted in 4,335 fatalities, 12,277 injuries, and the displacement of over 1 million people, as reported by Lebanese authorities.

Under the sponsorship of the United States, Beirut and Tel Aviv signed a framework agreement on June 26. This agreement calls for Israel's gradual withdrawal from all occupied Lebanese territories in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese army and the disarmament of armed groups, including Hezbollah. Despite this, Israel continues to occupy parts of southern Lebanon, with some areas under occupation for decades and others since the 2023-2024 conflict. Israeli forces have advanced more than 10 kilometers (6 miles) into Lebanese territory during the current war.
