Quneitra: Israeli forces shelled agricultural land in Syria's Quneitra province countryside Tuesday, while another unit entered the town of Kudna and set up a temporary military checkpoint, according to media reports.

According to Anadolu Agency, Syrian state media reported that Israeli occupation forces targeted agricultural land around Hamidiya village in the northern Quneitra countryside with three shells. The Syrian Arab News Agency, SANA, indicated that a force consisting of six military vehicles entered Kudna in the southern Quneitra countryside, established a military checkpoint, and searched passersby.

Reports from Syria's Alikhbariah TV channel earlier noted the entry of Israeli forces into Kudna and the establishment of a checkpoint without providing further details. Additionally, SANA reported an Israeli force entering the outskirts of Samdaniyah village in Quneitra province countryside and setting up a temporary checkpoint to search passersby.

These activities are part of a pattern of continued Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty, as noted by Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa. He has previously condemned the ongoing Israeli actions that undermine regional security and demanded Israel's withdrawal from occupied territories in southern Syria.

Southern Syria has been witnessing repeated Israeli incursions and attacks in recent months, which include raids, searches, arrests, and the establishment of military checkpoints. The activity has intensified following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in December 2024, when Israel declared the 1974 Disengagement Agreement void and took control of the Syrian buffer zone.
