Istanbul: Turkish football side Besiktas announced on Wednesday that they have initiated discussions with Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic regarding a potential transfer to the club. In a statement released on Trkiye's Public Disclosure Platform, the Istanbul club confirmed, "Negotiations have started with professional footballer Dusan Vlahovic on his transfer to our club."

According to Anadolu Agency, Vlahovic, aged 26, began his career in Serbia's Partizan youth system before making a move to Italian Serie A side Fiorentina in 2018. His impressive performances over four years at Fiorentina caught the attention of bigger clubs, leading to his transfer to Juventus in 2022 for approximately £85 million.

Vlahovic is currently a free agent and had a productive season with Juventus, scoring 10 goals in 23 official matches last season. The potential transfer to Besiktas marks a significant development in the club's efforts to bolster their attacking options.
