Al-qadsiah: Netherlands international Tijjani Reijnders has completed his move from Manchester City to Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah. This transfer comes as Manchester United and Inter Milan intensify their efforts to bolster their midfield line-ups.

According to Anadolu Agency, Reijnders joined Al-Qadsiah in a deal reportedly valued at approximately £52 million ($70 million) after spending just one season at Manchester City. The 28-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Saudi club, which is currently managed by Brendan Rodgers, a former Liverpool and Celtic manager. Reijnders had previously joined Manchester City from AC Milan for £46.5 million, where he made 50 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals. He also started in all of the Netherlands' group-stage matches at the 2026 World Cup but did not play in their round-of-32 defeat to Morocco. His departure marks yet another senior midfielder leaving Manchester City, following the exits of Rodri and Bernardo Silva.

In a related development, Manchester United has reportedly submitted a £65 million offer for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba. The offer comprises £60 million upfront with an additional £5 million in add-ons, although it remains below Brighton's valuation. The 22-year-old Cameroon international has reportedly agreed to personal terms with United, but negotiations between the clubs are ongoing. Baleba is anticipated to replace Casemiro in the defensive midfield position, following United's acquisition of Belgium international Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa for £35 million.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan is in discussions with Liverpool regarding a potential deal for English midfielder Curtis Jones. The Italian club has reportedly offered up to £35 million for Jones, who is in the final year of his Liverpool contract. Since his senior debut in 2019, Jones has made 228 appearances for Liverpool but struggled to secure a regular starting position last season, making only 18 Premier League starts.
