Ankara: Israeli forces launched a house-search campaign in the village of Rasm al-Ajraf in southern Syria's Quneitra province. The operation took place on Thursday, focusing on searches within the village.

According to Anadolu Agency, Al-Ikhbariyya TV reported the raid but did not provide further details. This region of southern Syria, particularly Quneitra and Daraa, has frequently experienced Israeli incursions involving various military activities such as raids, searches, arrests, and the setup of military checkpoints.

On August 18, Israeli warplanes executed eight strikes on the runway of the Abu al-Duhur Military Airbase in northwestern Idlib province, resulting in infrastructural damage. Israeli military activities in the region have increased since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in December 2024, when Israel announced the collapse of the 1974 disengagement agreement and took control of the Syrian buffer zone.
