Ankara: The US has called on Israel and Syria to seek de-escalation after the Israeli airstrikes on the Abu al-Duhur airbase in Syria that took place on Aug. 18. US Deputy Representative to the United Nations, Tammy Bruce, emphasized Washington's commitment to engaging with Israel, Syria, and other regional stakeholders to foster dialogue and peaceful solutions.

According to Anadolu Agency, Israeli warplanes conducted eight strikes on the runway of the Abu al-Duhur Military Airbase in northwestern Idlib province, resulting in damage to its infrastructure.
