Moscow: CIA Director John Ratcliffe has proposed a meeting involving US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as reported by Axios. Ratcliffe made this proposal during a covert visit to Moscow earlier this week. The visit aimed to gauge whether Russian intelligence officials could encourage Putin to resume US-mediated negotiations with Ukraine. US officials briefed Zelenskyy on Friday regarding Ratcliffe's discussions in Moscow and the proposed summit. The idea of a meeting had been previously suggested by the Trump administration, though Putin has rejected it, while Zelenskyy has shown support.

According to Anadolu Agency, the death toll from flash floods and landslides in Nepal and China's Tibet region has climbed to 750, with over 3,000 people still missing. Nepal's disaster agency reported 675 deaths and 2,498 missing individuals, while Chinese authorities confirmed 16 deaths and 546 people unaccounted for in Tibet. The Kathmandu Post noted that only 20 of the 669 recovered bodies have been identified by relatives. Authorities are striving to preserve evidence and manage the influx of bodies as hospital mortuaries reach capacity. Moreover, the Nepal Tourism Board indicated that 261 foreign nationals have been rescued, while 320 remain missing.
