Cologne: The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has announced an extension of its flight warning for the Gulf region until September 30, 2026, citing increasing geopolitical risks in the area. The update was made under the Conflict Zone Information Bulletin for the Middle East and the Gulf.

According to Anadolu Agency, the agency, based in Cologne, has extended the civil flight warning to cover the airspace of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE until the specified date. This decision follows heightened military tensions between the US and Iran, which have been escalating since the end of July.

EASA's new advisory narrows its previous general recommendation, which suggested avoiding all airspace in the mentioned countries. This update reflects ongoing concerns about safety and security in the region's airspace.
