Erdogan Highlights Advanced Trkiye-Russia Relations During Putin Meeting

Bishkek: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Trkiye-Russia relations have reached their most advanced level, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Kyrgyzstan. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Summit.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan emphasized the significance of the collaboration between the two nations, describing the current state of relations as unprecedented. He pointed out the pivotal role of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in strengthening bilateral ties, mentioning that the project is nearing completion. Erdogan expressed hope for future cooperation in developing additional power plants, underscoring the mutual benefits of such collaborations.

The remarks from Erdogan highlight the ongoing commitment of both countries to deepen their strategic partnership, particularly in the energy sector. The Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, a significant joint project, symbolizes this growing cooperation, with both leaders looking forward to further advancements.
