Sanaa: Dozens of Houthi fighters have surrendered to government forces in northern Yemen, as reported by Yemeni state television. The fighters, along with their weapons, turned themselves in to the armed forces in Al-Jawf province, according to an urgent report from Yemen TV. The report did not specify the exact number of fighters who surrendered.

According to Anadolu Agency, this development coincides with a military operation launched by government forces in Al-Jawf. State media indicated that during this operation, government forces managed to capture strategic positions in the province, advancing toward the Al-Labanat camp. Mansour al-Zaylai, a media official for the government's First Emergency Division, confirmed that the forces have successfully secured both the Upper Al-Labanat and Lower Al-Labanat areas.

The state-run Saba news agency reported that government forces have made significant advances in Al-Jawf, capturing key strategic locations and progressing toward Al-Labanat camp. Meanwhile, in Taiz, a military source revealed that government forces targeted substantial Houthi reinforcements heading towards the Al-Barh and Maqbanah fronts west of the city, as reported by Yemen TV.

The military source detailed that the reinforcements, comprising more than 21 military vehicles and pickups carrying fighters, military equipment, and weapons, were intercepted near Al-Rawd School, close to the Sharaab junction and Al-Rubei area west of Taiz. These strikes inflicted considerable losses on the Houthi fighters and their vehicles, effectively preventing the reinforcements from reaching the intended battlefronts.

Recent days have seen an escalation in fighting across various fronts in Yemen, particularly in Taiz, Al-Jawf, and Al-Bayda, as clashes between government forces and the Houthis intensify.
