Ankara: Technical issues are causing disruptions in flight departures at UK airports, Britain's air traffic control service said Wednesday. "We are investigating a technical issue which is causing some disruption to flight departures," National Air Traffic Services (NATS) said in a statement.

According to Anadolu Agency, the issue was later identified in the flight processing system. NATS assured that their engineers are on site and working urgently to resume normal operations as quickly as possible. They acknowledged the ongoing disruption to travelers and offered a sincere apology for the inconvenience.

While flights continue to depart and the airspace remains open, NATS cautioned that the recovery process "will take some time." In its latest update, the service announced that a fix has been implemented and that the flight system is "starting to recover."
