Ankara: The Israeli army violated the US-brokered framework deal with Lebanon approximately 7,700 times since the deal was signed in June, the Lebanese army said on Wednesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the violations included firing near Lebanese army personnel and patrols, as reported by the Lebanese army in a statement on the social media platform X. The situation has escalated with a recent tragic event where at least 12 people, including women and children, were killed in a massacre in the town of Kfar Remman, Nabatieh.

The Lebanese army expressed concerns over these repeated violations, stating that they have triggered a new wave of displacement from designated safe areas. The statement further emphasized that these actions by the Israeli occupation aim to undermine the Lebanese Army's credibility both domestically and internationally.

In response to the situation, the Lebanese army has begun implementing measures to establish operational control in designated areas under an army command plan. This plan is being coordinated with the military coordination group for Lebanon. The measures include establishing six checkpoints and 13 observation posts in and around the towns of Western Zoutar, Fren, and Sarfina. Additionally, the army has been actively removing and confiscating unexploded weapons and ammunition.

The Lebanese army reported that it has seized approximately 1,818 weapons and ammunition items, including rockets, drones, and explosives. Furthermore, they have cleared nearly 7.5 miles of roads to ensure the safety and security of the region.
