Gaza city: An Israeli airstrike damaged a Doctors Without Borders (MSF) bus in Gaza City, injuring one staff member, the medical charity reported on Monday. The incident occurred when an Israeli strike targeted a vehicle just two meters away from the MSF bus, which was transporting 10 humanitarian workers on September 13.

According to Anadolu Agency, Doctors Without Borders stated that the bus was easily recognizable, displaying a large MSF logo on its roof. The organization condemned the attack, accusing Israeli forces of disregarding the safety of humanitarian and medical personnel in the region.

The organization highlighted that no location in Gaza is safe and emphasized the need for the protection of civilians, healthcare workers, and humanitarian staff. Furthermore, MSF urged that clearly marked medical and humanitarian vehicles should be spared from such attacks.

The latest figures from Gaza's Health Ministry report that Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement have resulted in the deaths of 1,372 Palestinians and injuries to 4,659 others as of Monday. Since October 8, 2023, the conflict has led to the deaths of over 73,000 Palestinians and injuries to more than 174,000, with around 90% of Gaza's infrastructure being destroyed.
